This is a classic if you are seeking a thoroughly Biblicist approach to leadership. I use the term 'biblicist' for accuracy rather than as a disparaging remark. While the work may lack some the practical insights of a Maxwell, or the theoretical observations of a Clinton, Frank has turned each page of the Bible to provide a systematic view of leadership and its development from the Bible.It is a classic in its field and kind. Highly recommended
I have this book in paperback and was thrilled it is now offered in e-book format. It's a great read and gives you food for thought about becoming a leader. For far too long, the plumbline of leadership has been on outward appearance, yet this book draws you back to the inclinations of the heart. Keep this book like a good friend; read it and ponder the message in its contents. This was the first book that really broke down the root meaning of lay, layity in a way that should make any believer cringe to know that there is no division of lay vs. clergy per se in the Bible, yet it is in our language and it is in the Church at large. This should not be!

My church held a leadership class based on this book. I found it very beneficial and informative. I would have given it 5 stars but some of the questions were geared toward very seasoned ministers.
Like no other book we've read before on Leadership being made into the image and the way God desires us to be. The misconceptions of what a true leaders is and how to lead.This is clearly defined with much study revelation and life experiences by Dr Damazio, and on the patterns, ways and principles of God, and how He expects His leaders should be when representing the Kingdom of God. Our Ministry/School loves it! Have used since 2001. Pastors/Leaders/Christians on the forefront should get this book and study thoroughly and with fine tooth come, and then see how God sees things fit for His Kingdom Leaders. 100% recommended. I only read parts for a group study. It was good.
The Making of a Leader is a powerful book to read and study. It helped me to understand the test and trials in my life. There are tests that a leader has to go through and there is character all leaders must have. This is all part of our preparation. Responding correctly to the situation or circumstances is what God is after. Will you respond God's way or the world's way? Your character can cause you to fulfill or forfeit your call to leadership. Tests lets me know if I am becoming more like Christ in my responses. Along with this book I used Frank Damazio "Timothy Leadership Program". Both books together are a great "marriage". I encourage all serious believers to read this book. It's not just for leaders but a good teaching on being built in the image of Christ and dying to self daily.
